Welsh Connections

The new release from the Grenoble based Welsh/French/Scots alliance sees them deliver the ‘difficult’ second album - recorded at ‘At The Wheel’ with just a little help from Tim Hamill’s Sonic One - Garvin II is a monster of an album which will delight old and new fans alike ! There are touches of grandiose prog-rock in ‘Halo’, the opening track, the blues on ‘No Flowers’, futuristic techno-pop on ‘My Scars’ - this really is a band pushing the boundaries, moving out of their comfort zone and producing what could become a contender for best album of 2018 !

Garvin are ex-Karrot, Gareth Powell, Vincent Thourigny, Pad Pinoncely and Calumn Mackay (ex-Scars) - they have a guest appearance from Gareth’s former bandmate, Andy Collins, on one track too ! Together they have made that ‘difficult’ second album seem like a breeze - but much thought, love and care has gone into producing this album. Ten tracks of whack which should be in every self-respecting music lovers home !
